The 7th grade math curriculum focuses on the following big ideas:
• reviewing the number system
• working with rational numbers, ratios, and proportional relationships
• introducing and applying expressions, equations, and inequalities in real-world situations
• developing geometric understandings by working with scale drawings and constructions, and working with circumference, area, volume, and related measures
• using statistics and probability to represent, summarize, and describe real-world scenarios
• previewing and preparing students for Algebra I
• pen and pencil
• binder with loose leaf
• textbook
• scientific calculator (TI-30 XIIS)
• ruler
• charged iPad (as needed)
Google Classroom will be used to post all class notes, homework assignments, and announcements. Please join your classroom with these codes:

Homework will be given on a regular basis. Any homework out of the textbook must be completed on paper. Due dates will be posted on the homework board and on Google Classroom. Homework can also be collected at any point.
iReady scores are based on completion of 45 minutse per week.
All tests will be announced at least one week in advance. Quizzes can be announced or unannounced.
Extra Help
Extra Help is offered Tuesday mornings (7:30am-7:50am) or Thursday afternoon (2:40pm-3:00pm).
In addition, there will also be extra help the afternoon before and morning of a test.
