All levels, from beginner to advanced are welcome and grouped according to ability. This program includes a 20 minute lesson, playing time, special events, and several mini-chess tournaments. Emphasis is given to IMPROVEMENT OF SKILLS, building confidence, self-esteem and sportsmanship. All equipment is supplied. Chessnut Instructors are chess experts who are experienced and relate well with children. Studies have shown that playing chess increases a child’s reading and math levels and improves grades in school as it increases concentration and strategy skills. You can play this for the rest of your life! Come and join us.

Bring a snack/drink to enjoy before class begins.

Dismissal will be from the front main doors of the lower school at 3:45 PM. Students who are registered for the After School Program will be brought down to the After School Program.
