Dear Saint Aidan School Community,
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, we are reminded of the importance of coming together as a faith community to support one another. This year, we focus our efforts on helping one of our own, fifth-grader Evelyn Connolly, who has been courageously battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
AML is a rapidly progressing leukemia caused by the overproduction of immature blood cells, known as leukemia blasts. These cells crowd the bone marrow, disrupting the production of healthy cells. Evelyn’s condition is complicated by a genetic factor that increases her risk of relapse, requiring additional specialized treatments.
Evelyn is beloved by her classmates and teachers for her kindness, bright spirit, and incredible strength. As her family faces the many challenges and unexpected expenses that come with her treatment, we are asking our community to come together to ease their burden.
How You Can Help
1. Make a Donation:
We have set up a donation page on our school website where 100% of your contributions will go directly to the Connolly family to assist with Evelyn’s care. Our goal is to raise $10,000.

2. Buy a “Team Evelyn” T-Shirt:
Show your support by purchasing a “Team Evelyn” t-shirt. All proceeds will benefit the Connolly family. Orders must be placed by December 4th.
Join Us in Prayer
The Connolly family has asked for our prayers, and we are honored to join them in seeking intercession for Evelyn. They have chosen to pray to Blessed William Joseph Chaminade, whose Marianist doxology reads:
“May the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit be glorified in all places through the Immaculate Virgin Mary.”
In addition, join us in praying to:
• St. Peregrine, patron saint of cancer patients
• St. Raphael, patron saint of the sick
• St. Nicholas, patron saint of children
• The Sacred Heart of Jesus, a special devotion of Evelyn’s family
• Our Holy Mother, asking her to intercede with her Son for Evelyn’s healing
Please join us in keeping Evelyn and her family in your daily prayers.
Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and the love you continuously show as part of the Saint Aidan School family. Together in Learning, Together in Christ and Together we can make a meaningful difference in Evelyn’s journey.
With gratitude and love,
The Administration, Faculty, and Staff
